Set Up SMS Notifications
Toolfy manages Twilio provisioning for you. Complete a short wizard and our team handles the carrier paperwork, number purchase, and wiring so you can flip SMS reminders on without touching Twilio.
What to prepare
Business profile
Legal business name, trading name (if different), full address, website, and a primary contact Toolkit ops can email if carriers request clarification.
Messaging examples
Sample SMS copy for the reminders you plan to enable (job confirmations, invoice nudges, review requests). This speeds up TrustHub approval.
Complete the Toolfy wizard
You no longer paste Twilio SIDs or buy numbers yourself. Follow these steps and Toolfy automates the rest.
Open Reminders → Channels
This page shows the Email and SMS cards. The SMS card indicates whether Toolfy already has a managed number for your workspace.
Launch the Managed SMS setup wizard
Select "Finish SMS setup" to open the three-step form. We ask for a primary contact, business profile, and sample SMS copy so carriers can approve your use case.
Submit for Toolfy review
Toolfy stores your draft automatically. When you submit, ops receives the request and starts provisioning the Twilio subaccount + number for you.
What happens after you submit?
Pending review
Your questionnaire is complete and waiting in the managed SMS queue.
In progress
Toolfy is registering your sender brand, filing the campaign, and buying a compliant number.
Number live
Your managed number is now attached to Toolfy and SMS toggles unlock automatically.
The wizard timeline updates in real time (e.g., "Brand submitted", "Number purchased", "Awaiting carrier"). If carriers need more information you can edit the submission and resubmit without starting over.
Turn on SMS reminders
- Stay on Reminders → Channels. When the badge shows Number live, Toolfy has wired your managed number.
- Enable SMS for the recipes you need (job confirmations, day-before reminders, invoice follow-ups, etc.).
- Send a test message from the wizard or recipe screen to confirm tone, merge tags, and delivery time.
Common questions
Can I bring my own Twilio account?
Managed SMS is the default for small teams. If you already operate your own Twilio subaccounts and prefer BYO credentials, contact support—we can link your account via Twilio Connect.
How long does provisioning take?
Most UK/US campaigns are live within 1–3 business days. If a carrier asks for extra vetting, we update the wizard timeline with the request so you can respond quickly.
What if I get stuck in \"Needs more info\"?
Expand the latest timeline entry—it tells you exactly what we need (e.g., clearer opt-in language, supporting website). Update the wizard and re-submit; the queue picks up right where it left off.
