Why it matters
- Secures your account by proving you own the email address.
- Enables email-based features like invoices, reminders, and password resets.
- Keeps compliance messages and product updates flowing to the right inbox.
What happens after sign-up
- Sign up for Toolfy or get invited to a team.
- We email you a `Verify your Toolfy account` message within a couple of minutes.
- Click the button in the email to confirm ownership.
- Toolfy activates your account and removes the yellow reminder banner.
Tip: have the inbox open while you sign up—the email usually lands within 60 seconds.
Resend the verification email
- Log in to Toolfy—unverified users can still access the dashboard in limited mode.
- Look for the `Please verify your email address` banner and click `Resend verification`.
- Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the new email. Add `noreply@toolfy.io` to your contacts to avoid filtering.
- Open the email and click the verification button within 24 hours before it expires.
Troubleshooting
Email never arrives
Confirm the address is spelled correctly, check spam/junk, and ask IT to safelist `noreply@toolfy.io`. If needed, update your login email under Settings → Security → Login email before resending.
Link expired
Verification links expire after 24 hours. Click `Resend verification` from the banner or the settings page to generate a fresh one.
Verified the wrong email
Update your primary email in Settings → Account and repeat the verification process. Only the primary email receives system notifications.
