Toolfy is designed to run smoothly on modern iOS and Android devices. If something is not behaving, run through these checks before contacting support.
Quick checks
- Refresh the page or pull down to sync. Most issues come from a stale session.
- Confirm you are signed in as the correct user—log out and back in if you recently switched devices.
- Ensure mobile data or Wi-Fi is enabled. Toolfy queues offline actions and uploads them once a connection returns.
- Check that your device clock is accurate. Large time differences can block authentication.
Sync and offline issues
Jobs or notes are missing after coming back online
- Pull down on the Jobs or Schedule screen to force a sync.
- If the badge “Sync pending” stays visible, close the tab/app and reopen it.
- On iOS Safari, open Settings → Safari → Advanced → Experimental Features and ensure “WebRTC mDNS ICE” is disabled (rare issue).
Photos are stuck uploading
- Leave the app open while connected to Wi-Fi if possible—large photos can take a minute to upload.
- Check that the device has at least 1 GB of free storage.
- If the upload fails repeatedly, edit the job on desktop and add the photos there.
Notification problems
Technicians are not receiving assignment notifications
- Confirm the user has SMS notifications enabled (Settings → Reminders → Team notifications).
- Ask them to check spam folders or blocked contacts on their device.
- Resend the invitation email—users must accept the invite before notifications start.
Customers do not receive reminders
- Check the reminder rules and make sure the template is active for the job type.
- Verify the customer has a valid mobile number or email address.
- Look at Twilio delivery logs for failed SMS along with error codes.
