Choose between three plans, pay monthly or annually, and start with a 14-day free trial (no card required). Annual billing charges you once per year and effectively gives you two months free. Upgrade or downgrade whenever you need — Toolfy prorates charges automatically.

Payment processing & platform fee
Toolfy uses Stripe for card, ACH (US), and wallet payments. You pay Stripe’s standard rate plus Toolfy’s platform fee when you collect money directly through Toolfy.
Stripe fees
Stripe bills you per transaction. For example, domestic UK cards are 1.4% + 20p, while typical US cards are 2.9% + 30¢. You see Stripe’s fees itemized on your payout and in the reconciliation guide.
Toolfy platform fee (1%)
- • Applied only when you charge customers through Toolfy (card, ACH, payment links).
- • Covers payout tracking, the customer portal, fraud tooling, and same-day reconciliation.
- • Appears as “Toolfy platform fee” on invoices in Billing History.
- • Manual/offline payments you log yourself are free.
Usage-based charges & limits
Most Toolfy features are included in your plan price. The items below are either metered or trigger alerts when you’re close to plan limits so you can decide whether to upgrade.
SMS reminders
- • Solo: Bring your own Twilio number and pay your carrier directly.
- • Team: 100 SMS included monthly (UK + US). Extra usage bills at £0.01/SMS or $0.012/SMS and appears on your Toolfy invoice.
- • Business: 300 SMS included monthly + optional concierge top-ups at the same pass-through rate.
- • Usage resets on your bill date. Unused credits don’t roll over.
Team members & storage
- • Solo includes 1 user, Team includes up to 5, and Business is unlimited. To add more technicians on Solo or Team, switch plans in Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan.
- • Each plan includes pooled storage for job photos and files. Toolfy emails you at 80% usage and shows an “Extra storage” line item before billing additional space.
- • Storage add-ons are billed with your subscription and visible inside Billing History.
API & workflow limits
Each plan includes API limits suitable for its typical team size (Solo: 60 requests/minute, Business: 300/minute). Toolfy surfaces usage inside Settings → Subscription so you can monitor calls before automated workflows are rate limited. Reach out to billing@toolfy.io if you need custom limits.
Trials, billing, and switching plans
You can manage everything under Settings → Subscription. Toolfy gives plenty of notice before any change bills.
14-day free trial
Every plan starts with a full-access trial and no credit card. When the trial ends, add a card in Settings → Subscription to continue. If you don’t add a card, your workspace switches to read-only after the trial.
Monthly vs. annual billing
Switch billing cadence anytime. Moving to annual billing charges you for 12 months minus any unused monthly time (a prorated credit). Switching back to monthly generates prorated credits as well. See Manage Your Subscription for step-by-step instructions.
Upgrades & downgrades
Toolfy automatically calculates prorated charges or credits the moment you change tiers. Review impacts (like team seats or reminders) before confirming. Learn more in Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan.
Billing transparency
Every invoice itemizes subscription fees, usage (SMS, storage), and platform fees. Download receipts and past invoices in Billing History & Invoices.
