Stripe payout types
Standard payouts
Default for most accounts. Funds paid Monday–Thursday arrive by the end of the second business day.
Instant / Express payouts
Once eligible, trigger same-day (or <30 minute) deposits for ~0.5% fee.
Common reasons for delays
Weekend or bank holiday
Banks do not process payouts on non-working days.
What to do: Check the holiday calendar and set expectations for the next business day.
New Stripe account
Stripe may hold the first payout up to 7 days while finishing KYC checks.
What to do: Process a few smaller payments and complete verification tasks promptly.
Large or unusual payment
Transactions far above your normal volume can trigger a review.
What to do: Contact Stripe support if high-value invoices are standard for your business.
Verification pending
Stripe requested documents (ID, proof of address, bank statement).
What to do: Upload items in Stripe Dashboard → Tasks to resume payouts.
High-risk industry / chargebacks
Accounts with disputes or higher risk profiles may see longer reserve periods.
What to do: Maintain solid documentation (photos, signatures, before/after notes) to reassure Stripe.

- Contact Stripe if a payout shows `Paid` but hasn’t reached your bank after two working days.
- Double-check bank details in Stripe → Settings → External accounts.
